Overview

The Entertainment Business Bachelor of Science at Full Sail University prepares students to pursue career opportunities in the business of entertainment, applying skills in strategy, management, marketing, audience engagement, entrepreneurship, and technology across film, television and streaming, music, gaming, digital media, live experiences, creator-led businesses, and other evolving entertainment sectors. Students progress through a challenging curriculum that integrates essential business and management knowledge and skills, including business models, principles of digital marketing, global media management, data analysis and reporting, event management, and professional selling. Students work to develop both personal and professional skills, and the program’s project-based environment mimics the professional scenarios and challenges encountered across the business landscape. The degree program trains students in industry-standard tools for business planning, creative communication, data-informed reporting, and AI-assisted workflows, including Microsoft Excel for data analysis, Adobe Creative Cloud applications for creative projects, Keynote for pitch decks and business presentations, and AI-assisted platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and NotebookLM.

Merging business with entertainment topics, the curriculum is designed to provide the full range of knowledge and exposure needed to pursue a career with film and TV studios, media organizations, live event production, venues, agencies, startups, creator-led businesses, and related organizations. Students will also be equipped to initiate an entrepreneurial concept with confidence. In addition to business-specific managerial and entrepreneurial skills, students will also have courses focusing on leadership, professional writing, physical science, communication skills, and career education and planning. As the entertainment industry increasingly adopts AI-assisted tools and data-informed workflows, students will learn to apply technology and AI to strengthen sound business judgment, ethical decision-making, creativity, professional communication, and strategic planning. Graduates' portfolios will showcase a collection of business-focused plans, strategic work, and project materials assembled to industry standards and primed for presentation to employers and clients.
