The Game Business and Esports Bachelor of Science at Full Sail University prepares students for careers in the gaming, esports, and interactive entertainment industries. Whether the goal is to work in esports management, game publishing, gaming marketing, business development, event production, partnerships, community management, or content strategy, this program is designed to help students build the skills employers seek. The gaming and esports industries rely on professionals who understand both gaming culture and the business strategies that drive successful products, brands, events, and communities. Throughout the program, students will explore how games are developed, marketed, distributed, monetized, and supported while gaining practical experience in the business operations that power the industry.
Students will create digital content, analyze consumer behavior, and examine how gaming communities engage across platforms and global markets. They will work with industry-standard platforms and AI-powered tools, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Copilot), Adobe Creative Cloud, Perplexity, NotebookLM, Claude, and other technologies and will learn how these tools are integrated for research, content development, data analysis, reporting, and business planning. Courses cover topics across esports, ranging from event management and social media strategy to sponsorships and international markets. The curriculum emphasizes identifying revenue opportunities and developing strategies that connect brands with gaming audiences. As the industry increasingly adopts AI-powered technologies, students learn to use these tools to enhance productivity, analysis, creativity, and decision-making. The program culminates in a capstone experience where students plan, market, manage, and execute an esports event. Graduates will exit with a professional portfolio of work showcasing esports events, marketing campaigns, business strategies, and industry-focused projects that demonstrate readiness for careers across gaming, esports, and interactive entertainment.
