The Interactive Technology Bachelor of Science Completion program at Full Sail University is designed to develop the knowledge and skills of coding professionals in the interactive entertainment and media industries. The program focuses on programming, human-computer interaction, and various engineering concepts and provides students with a strong foundation of academic and hands-on coursework. Students will work with industry-standard tools, including Unreal Engine and Perforce version control, Atlassian project management tools, and generative AI applications such as the Epic Developer Assistant and embedded Model Context Protocol (MCP). Students will also learn to use LLMs and AI asset generators responsibly and ethically to streamline production and facilitate rapid prototyping efforts.
After completing the core Interactive Technology curriculum, students will have the opportunity to choose a concentration in Game Development, Game Design, Simulation Engineering, or Software Development. The program offers threaded project and portfolio courses that provide students with a relevant and comprehensive project-based learning experience throughout their academic journey. Courses reinforce a professional mindset and industry readiness with classes in leadership and teamwork, strategic marketing, and project management and production. Additionally, a Career Readiness course taken at the end of the program examines how to prepare for a future career in interactive technology. Graduates will exit with a portfolio of interactive project work and documentation related to their chosen concentration, assembled to professional standards and suitable for presentation to employers and clients.
The goal of the Interactive Technology Bachelor of Science Completion program is to provide students with a focused knowledge and understanding of essential programming, engineering, and development skills to prepare them to pursue entry-level industry positions in video games, interactive entertainment, simulation engineering, software engineering, and related creative technology fields. Across the curriculum, students will build core technical competencies related to their chosen concentration, including game scripting, game mechanics and systems design, production planning, data visualization and modeling, machine intelligence, and software testing and quality assurance, and will apply these skills through hands-on project-based work. In addition to fostering academic mastery, technical proficiency, and creative development, students will cultivate the critical-thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills that contribute to lifelong learning and sustaining an enduring professional career in the interactive technology industries. Students will also build fluency with current technologies and workflows, including AI-assisted tools that support production processes and design judgment.

- This is a degree completion program. Entering students must have a related associate degree or higher level degree and must complete at least 60 semester hours for a total of 120 credit hours. Associate degrees from other institutions may also be considered.
