The User Experience undergraduate certificate program at Full Sail University provides students with a foundational knowledge of the concepts and tools involved in both visual and user experience design, along with AI-assisted tools and plugins integrated into commonly used professional scenarios. Students will construct graphical data and user interface prototypes as well as utilize industry-standard software to bring their UX designs to life. The certificate program also increases understanding of human-centered design and how its principles apply to UX projects across a multitude of industries. As the field increasingly adopts AI-assisted tools, students will learn to use them to support their design process while strengthening their unique design judgment. Students will construct a professional UX portfolio featuring interactive prototypes and a comprehensive case study that demonstrates their design process and problem-solving skills to employers and clients.
The User Experience undergraduate certificate program focuses on building foundational knowledge of the theory and techniques utilized in the design and prototyping of interfaces for interactive content. Across the curriculum, students build core technical competencies, including interaction and visual design and prototyping, and apply these skills through hands-on project-based work. Students will use graphic design and prototyping software to demonstrate their user experience ideas. Students will become familiar with the expectations of roles in UX design across a variety of interactive media industries and will be equipped to increase their marketability in the UX arena. Coursework and training in design will highlight the operations and workflows found in the dynamic and changing environments of interactive media studios, digital product teams, and other user experience settings. Students will also build fluency with current user experience tools and workflows, including AI-assisted tools that complement their individual design judgment.
