The Artificial Intelligence graduate certificate program at Full Sail University provides students with advanced knowledge of computer science topics such as machine learning, reasoning, knowledge representation, planning, and expert systems. Students will apply advanced computing knowledge in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and software engineering to design, develop, and evaluate intelligent software solutions for complex, real-world problems. Students will gain hands-on experience with industry-standard programming languages, machine learning frameworks, AI libraries, and AI-assisted development tools while applying software engineering principles to build, test, and refine software and machine learning applications. Students will develop a small project by utilizing integrated development environments, software libraries, and packages to demonstrate their ideas. The knowledge and skills gained throughout this graduate certificate program will increase students’ understanding of how both humans and machines learn. As AI-assisted tools become increasingly integrated into software engineering and artificial intelligence, students will learn to use them responsibly, ethically, and effectively to support their technical expertise, critical thinking, research, and professional judgment. Through hands-on, project-based learning, students will conduct applied research and build a portfolio of AI applications, machine learning models, software solutions, and technical research that demonstrates their abilities using modern AI engineering principles and rigorous research methods.
The objective of the Artificial Intelligence graduate certificate program is to provide students with foundational knowledge in the theory and techniques utilized in the design, development, and evaluation of artificial intelligence and machine learning models and algorithms. Across the curriculum, students develop advanced competencies in artificial intelligence, machine learning, software engineering, and applied research. Through hands-on, project-based learning, students will integrate modern AI tools, foundation models, and data-driven methodologies to design, develop, and evaluate intelligent systems that address real-world challenges. Students will also develop fluency with the modern AI engineering tools, technologies, and workflows, learning to integrate, evaluate, refine, and validate them responsibly and effectively as part of modern AI engineering and research practices.
