Full Sail University’s Instructional Design & Technology graduate certificate curriculum combines specific design knowledge and learning theory to prepare students to envision and create engaging and effective educational experiences. Students earning this certificate will work with industry-standard tools, including Adobe Captivate, along with AI-assisted tools. Throughout the certificate, students will learn to design learner-centered instructional experiences by integrating multimedia, interactive technologies, storytelling strategies, media creation tools, and AI-assisted workflows. The learning environments students create will be engaging, accessible, and effective while remaining grounded in instructional design principles and informed professional judgment. As the field increasingly adopts AI-assisted tools, students will learn to apply them as a support to their process in instructional design. Students will complete assets for a portfolio of learning designs and e-learning projects, assembled to professional standards and suitable for presentation to employers and clients.
The Instructional Design & Technology graduate certificate program prepares students to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate effective learning experiences across corporate, educational, and digital learning environments. Across the curriculum, students will build core technical competencies, including learning design, multimedia development, filmmaking, audio design, and interactive asset creation and will apply these skills through hands-on project-based work. This certificate program will enhance students' ability to design and produce engaging instructional experiences using multimedia, instructional technologies, and evidence-based design practices. This program will also cultivate students' writing, time-management, and team building skills. They will be primed to develop and disseminate engaging instructional content, innovative media design, and technology projects that captivate and inspire today’s learner. In addition, students will develop fluency with contemporary AI-assisted tools while strengthening their professional judgment, learner-centered decision-making, collaboration, and evaluation practices.
