Overview
The Human-Computer Interaction Graduate Certificate program will provide students with advanced knowledge of computer science topics such as user interface, user experience, user-centered design, interaction design, human factors, sensation, perception, visual design, and graphic design. The curriculum will also allow students to visualize design and usability test results using extended reality. Students will develop a small project by utilizing research skills to design a user-test, collect and analyze data, visualize data using extended reality, and make recommendations based on the information gathered. The knowledge and skills gained throughout this graduate certificate program will increase students’ understanding of how humans sense and perceive information and why this information is useful for product development.
Objective
Graduate Certificate's Objective  The objective of the Human-Computer Interaction Graduate Certificate program is to provide students with foundational knowledge in the theory and techniques utilized in the design, development, and evaluation of digital products using user-centered design. Upon completion of this graduate certificate program, students will be able to collect, analyze, and visualize data using extended reality in order to make product recommendations and improvements.
