Make-up Work

Students are encouraged to communicate proactively with their instructor if challenges arise that may impact timely submission of assignments. Repeated late submissions may negatively affect overall course performance. If a student anticipates missing a deadline, they should reach out to their instructor at least 24 hours before the assignment is due. Authorization for make-up work or extension is at the sole discretion of the instructor. Make-up work and extensions are not guaranteed, but instructors are here to work with students who need make-up work.

Unexpected events such as medical or health issues, family emergencies, legal or civic obligations, or natural disasters may impact a student’s ability to complete coursework. In such cases, students should contact their instructor as soon as possible to discuss available options. These situations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Students are also encouraged to submit late work, when possible, as feedback remains an important part of the learning process.
