The Writing for Interactive Media course explores the evolving nature of writing, where journalists and public relations professionals share overlapping goals to inform, persuade, and engage audiences. Students will explore foundational writing standards and stylistic conventions of journalism and public relations. They will analyze the mechanics of multimedia storytelling and effective use of media elements and create content focused on a variety of platforms and purposes. Emphasis will be placed on writing that is newsworthy, interactive, social, visual, and strategic in meeting set objectives.
