Credits 3
Course Length
4 weeks
In Project and Portfolio I: Game Design, students will design and prototype a playable game level using a modern game engine. Students will gain experience with applying design thinking, player choice-centered design, professional level-design techniques, and in-engine tools to refine functionality based on player feedback. They will revise their work over several iterative feedback cycles, using generative AI tools to research execution strategies that will accelerate implementation of their design ideas. By the end of the course, students will prototype their first original game level design in a professional 3-D game engine.
